ABOUT US
Preferred Pediatric Medical Centers is a medical facility dedicated to serving the families of children with special healthcare needs. Our highly trained staff has combined decades of experience in providing quality care to children who need more attention than a regular daycare can provide.
We are familiar with the requirements and protocols necessary to take care of children with chronic medical conditions, and every member of our staff is committed to ensuring that your little one is safe and well taken care of. Free transportation is provided to and from home.
We look forward to welcoming your child into our family, and bringing you the peace of mind and flexibility that you deserve.

WHAT IS A PPEC?
Preferred Pediatric Medical Centers is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) Center, which allows eligible children from birth through age 20 with medically-complex conditions to receive continual medical care in a non-residential setting.
A PPEC offers services that meet the child’s physiological, developmental, nutritional, and social needs. PPECs are state licensed and regulated. They are operated and staffed by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and other qualified personnel such as paramedics and nursing assistants.
The children who come to PPECs receive respiratory, physical, occupational, and other therapies tailored to their individual needs. Teachers are also provided through the county's school system in order to ensure that our children stay on top of their educational goals. These children also have the opportunity to interact with other children with special medical needs. PPECs provide daily care for families struggling with the unique and complex medical needs of their children, and allow the parents of children with special needs some independence and the opportunity to still pursue their professional and personal goals.
All PPEC services are covered by Medicaid and absolutely free to the parent. Transportation to and from the Center is provided.
